First released in Japan in 1974, Microman toys were imported to the USA by the Mego Corporation in 1976 and renamed "Micronauts." The line consisted of 3.75" action figures, vehicles, and robots that were known for their high poseability and innovative 5 mm interconnectivity. Main article: Micronauts (comic book) Several different licensed comic book series based on Micronauts toys were published by Marvel and Devil's Due Publishing The Micronauts "Mobile Exploration Lab" vehicle can be seen in the 1981 film Time Bandits.
